Passports

If you’re going out of the country on your cruise, make sure you have a valid passport. Your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date you plan on returning to Australia.

Take Note Of Travel Advice

Carefully read up on the country-specific travel advice for the destinations you will be visiting. Research the destinations to understand the local laws. Remember that laws on land also apply when you’re at sea.

Travel Insurance

Be sure to buy the right travel insurance policy. It should include adequate coverage for overseas hospitalisation, accidental injuries and even medical evacuation at sea. Also keep in mind that no matter how fit and healthy you may be, if you can’t afford travel insurance, you shouldn’t travel. Most cruises tend to be cashless, so you need to leave your credit card or set up an account. Make sure you carefully manage your account while you’re on board so you’re never left at sea.
